Site Selection at Spikecon

Since this convention is both a Westercon and a NASFiC, we will be conducting two site selection votes at the convention.

     The 2020 Worldcon is outside North America which makes NASFiC 2019 the location for selecting the 2020 NASFiC.  All sites in North America (as defined in Section 4.8.5 of the WSFS Constitution) except those within 500 miles/800 kilometers of Layton are eligible.

     The filing deadline for appearing on the NASFiC 2020 printed ballot is Jan 4, 2019.  A group can file as a write-in any time until the close of balloting.

The documents to be filed are specified is Section 4.6.1 of the WSFS Constitution:

     (1) an announcement of intent to bid;

     (2) adequate evidence of an agreement with its proposed site’s facilities, such as a conditional contract or a letter of agreement;

     (3) the rules under which the Worldcon Committee will operate, including a specification of the term of office of their chief executive officer or officers and the conditions and procedures for the selection and replacement of such officer or officers.

Documents, or questions about the rules, should be sent to This email address is being protected from spambots. You need JavaScript enabled to view it..
